As you know, I have an extra ticket for the Billy Joel/Elton John concert. Since all of you were interested, I decided to have a little contest and the winner will get a free ticket to the show (a $200 value). The concert is on Friday, February 19 at 7:30, at the Energy Solutions Arena.
I decided that the contest will be that you guys write a poem. It has to include something about Spring, pianos and Billy Joel and Elton John. To eliminate the possibility of me being biased, I asked Judie and Jody (my co-workers) to help me select the winner. We will do a silent vote to decide the winner. Please get me the poem by Wednesday, February 17, and we will decide on a winner by Thursday.
Good luck and I love you guys so much!
~Karen
Winter’s been here For the Longest Time
And I Guess That’s why they Call it the Blues
But I’m Keeping The Faith that spring will come soon
and this Tiny Dancer can dust off her dancin’ shoes
Crocodile Rock or Ghetto Gospel
It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me
The Piano Man and The Rocket Man
Are The Entertainers I want to see
If you choose wrong You’re Only Human
And who knows, You May Be Right
But say Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
‘Cause The Bitch is Back to fight
Saturday Night’s All Right For Fighting
So Don’t go Breaking my Heart
Get it right the First Time
Choosing me would be a good start
Can you feel the Love Tonight?
I’m in a New York State of Mind
I’m Keeping the Faith you’ll decide I’m The One
To not would be very unkind.
